HORSE CLUB:
EquiFabula runs a horse club that meets after school and teaches students the unmounted horsemanship skills that make a proficient horseperson. We cover everything from saddle fitting to basic horse first aid, as well as a myriad of other information along the way. Our goal is to foster an alternative community where kids feel welcome to come any day after school and work around the horses, helping the younger kids learn while continuing their own educations throughout their high school years and beyond.
SUMMER CAMPS:
We offer summer riding camps that focus on a much more intensive experience than the average horse camp. Students ride multiple times per day, with short breaks for unmounted learning, and by the end of one week they have usually improved their horsemanship by leaps and bounds… it is incredibly exciting to watch them progress into such strong, confident riders!
FARM LIFESTYLE SKILLS:
Sometimes we tackle projects around the barn, teaching students fundamental hands-on life skills, often involving the use of tools that many kids today are never exposed to. We encourage kids to get dirty, work hard, and learn to work together to accomplish seemingly huge goals. The various roles required by the daily running of a farm offer ample opportunity to expand skill sets far beyond the traditional boundaries of a riding school, and we relish the chance to empower kids with the ability to fix things!
