So many people today are disconnected from the natural world, which can have a negative effect on our health. Our students engage in ranch skills to learn the values of hard work, team work, independence, and working towards a goal. This could involve caring for smaller animals like chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, or medium size animals like goats. It could also mean working on repairs or other projects around the ranch. We find that having this element in our program helps younger students learn responsibility, and it helps older students feel a part of the team.
